The purpose of this research is to develop a folding anchor model, which modification the star-shaped plate anchor, and investigate pull-up capability operating in cohesive soils. Physical testing performed laboratory on full scale field, with findings capacity achieved compared. model made up four leaves varying widths depths. It flexible may be closed opened like an inverted umbrella. effective area each was determined experiments A1=30.00, A2=57.60, A3=147.20 cm2, evaluated test column bath filled statically compressed, soil layers height 30 cm. Each at three different depths: 30, 60, 90 field B1=57.60, B2=147.20, B3=600 cm2. qualities soils chosen are identical. tested 100, 200, 300 most resemblance results found outdoor testing. indicated that increased depth, resulting considerable rise load. change depth variation, however, did not result substantial increase This implies type anchors do need extensive design. has fundamental constraint adding will no longer higher maximum capability. also shows these relatively simple install using basic tools without excavating or drilling soil.
